About Me

Hello, I’m Max, the creator behind Dreamer’s Domain. Thank you for checking out my website! I’ve been drawing and designing for as long as I can remember. I started cosplaying in 2012, and got into Japanese fashion around the same time. When I was younger, my personal style included loud, overt graphics depicting all of the fandoms I loved. As I’ve matured, my style has changed, but my desire to express my interests through my clothing has not. These days I prefer subtlety (IYKYK). As I continued to doodle and sketch, I daydreamed about making each piece a reality. In 2023, I completed my degree in Apparel Design and Production. With that background I’m now working hard to bring you unique, thoughtful designs suitable for anything from casual day-to-day wear to comfy cosplay.

About Dreamer’s Domain

Dreamer’s Domain was created from a love of fandom and a belief that fashion is an empowering form of self expression. Inspired by the stories and characters we love, we create subtle, unique designs that blend fashion and fandom together. We believe our clothing tells a story about what we love, who we are, and the communities we belong to. People from all walks of life derive connection and strength from the fandoms they engage with. Our clothing is designed to embrace and uplift with intentional, accessible pieces you can wear with pride. Dreamer’s Domain also takes sustainability into consideration, creating small-batch, high quality pieces that are designed to last. Dreamer’s Domain exists to give our community a way to express your passions and feel confident doing it.

Accessibility and Comfort

What I love about fandom spaces is that they offer a unique opportunity to build bridges that foster lasting friendships and vibrant communities. Over the years I’ve also noticed how many people within the fandom space are neurodivergent, chronically ill, or disabled (ND/CI/D). This isn’t a coincidence. Whether we’re seeking escapism, inspiration, representation, or otherwise, fandom communities provide an inclusive space for people across the spectrum. I am a part of this group, and for that reason I approach my fandom designs with accessibility and comfort in mind.

When designing for Dreamer’s Domain, I am always taking into consideration the elements of a garment that would make it inaccessible. Things like buttons and button holes that are difficult to fasten, itchy or pokey seam allowances, and zippers that are hard to pull. Due to a wide range of needs and difficulties, I acknowledge that it isn’t possible to create something that is 100% accessible to everyone all of the time. Be that as it may, I am still making an effort to take into account any and all ways that I can make my clothing as comfortable, sensory friendly, and accessible as possible.
